Lovely stay in Ambleside

We had a nice 2-night stay, comfy room and super clean. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the outdoor dining area! Only thing is, it was a bit of a trek to find the nearest sidewalks on the way to Windermere.

We had a fantastic group getaway! The location was perfect for checking out local foodie spots and exploring nearby galleries. Breakfast was delicious, especially the full English. Simon, our host, was super accommodating and friendly. Don't miss the lovely walks near the lakes—it's a beautiful area!

The walls in our room were pretty thin, and we could hear our neighbors quite clearly, which did disrupt our sleep a bit.

i had a lovely stay here, far better than my previous one in ambleside. the modern amenities made my stay so much more comfortable, especially the hot powerful shower and cozy bed. the breakfast exceeded my expectations, with fresh local ingredients and great variety.

I loved my stay here, especially the breakfast which featured scrumptious local ingredients and a variety of options, including the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. The room was very clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing escape after long walks around the beautiful surroundings. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, making it feel like a home away from home. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be the occasional noise from the busy road outside, but it didn't significantly disrupt my stay.

Comfortable stay with exceptional breakfast

I had a truly fantastic time during my stay at this B&B. The room was cozy and well-maintained, making me feel right at home. The breakfast, especially the smoked salmon scrambled eggs, was a highlight—definitely some of the best I've ever had. It's conveniently located just a short walk from the town center, which made exploring so easy. The only downside was the thin walls, which made it a bit noisy at times.

The location of Rothay Garth is excellent, just a short walk from Ambleside's amenities, making it convenient for business trips. The room I stayed in (Standard Double Room) was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable workspace. The staff were friendly and helpful, efficiently assisting with my needs during the stay.

The decor could use some modernization, and the walls are quite thin.

Great location, comfy bed, but shower pressure was low. It made rinsing tough.

Ideal getaway for couples

The breakfast was fantastic, I mean they really nailed it with a full english that wasn't just good but exceptionally cooked each morning. Plus, the staff really came through, remember that guy Paul, the chef? He clearly takes pride in his work, not just cooking but for the staff too, that's somethin' rare.

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but considering the quality, I thought it was still quite fair.
